Founded on Seattle’s working waterfront in 1990, the words “Cutter” and the “Buck” were chosen to symbolize the region we know and love, where the sea, represented by a Cutter, and the mountains, represented by a Buck, meet and live-in harmony.
CUTTER: A speedy, single-mast sailing ship used for work. A powerboat “Cutter” is ubiquitous on the working waterfronts in the Pacific Northwest. We work hard here in the PNW, on pioneering new ways forward.
BUCK: The “Buck” is an evocative image of the mountains that begin here at the water’s edge. At the intersection of the mountains and the sea is where we start our cities in the PNW, where we can we enjoy them both simultaneously.
